our history

Harold opened the doors to River Valley Pipe in 2015. His business plan? Go above and beyond for the customer and deliver service like no one else. You see, Harold’s not only the founder of RVP; he’s also a customer — as the owner and contractor for MK Farm Drainage Specialists. He used to deal with the frustrations of inconsistent products, poor logistics, lousy communication, the list goes on. So, he knows firsthand what quality service should look like. That’s why it’s no accident we’ve grown every year and continue to keep loyal customers.

And that boots-on-the-ground mentality we started with now gets carried through by the entire team that works for you today. At RVP, we dig deep to deliver the service you expect — and keep the groundwater flowing.

WE UNDERSTAND YOU — BECAUSE WE ARE YOU

At RVP, we embody the old-school work ethic of our customers. Why? Because we’re also contractors, installers and end users. We get it. We know the land — and we know what you need to thrive. That’s why we do whatever it takes to deliver premium products and service. Because it’s not just our reputation, it’s our livelihood. So, let’s pull up our boots and get to work.

A LETTER FROM LEADERSHIP

I’ve been tiling since I was 10 years old. I’d spend Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks tiling nonstop. Making connections and running a backhoe was like a vacation from school. In 2009, I was fortunate enough to start my own installation company, one that I still run today. My competitors have always pointed out that both manufacturing and installing might be a conflict of interest.

The truth is, though, if you want to do business with a company that’s owned by someone who couldn’t last a day in your boots, someone who’s never made a tile connection in the mud, someone who doesn’t truly know what it’s like to be a contractor - then River Valley Pipe probably isn’t the right supplier for you.

My goal with RVP was to say all the right things, just like our competitors do. But then follow through with the promises I make to deliver the best service possible and run my business with more honesty and loyalty. The reason I made this my goal is because one thing I’ve learned in life so far is that business should be done with people who understand each other, people who are cut from the same cloth. I love the drainage lifestyle - and fellow contractors are the people I want to do business with.
